Children’s library spaces are interactive and engaging places for ages 0 through 12, as well as their parents. Planning a space to accommodate this diversity of ages and interests can be accomplished through zoning by age and function. Zoning provides visual cues and signals for appropriate activities within a space, and adds clarity and grounding for younger children.
